Daily Prompt: Organize .… please be sure to read the comments below

  1. Must admit I’m not much of an organiser. But thank you for reminding me that things don’t happen by themselves. ๐Ÿ™‚ There is a point that Eliot makes in ‘Four Quartets’ that if we drift on a sea aimlessly, indefinitely, then we will end up a wreckage crashing against rocks.

    • yes that’s my point David, I have seen it too often. If we have a weeks holiday we plan and organise most details to ensure we make the most of every minute. Yet people don’t plan parenthood or relationships, they go with the flow and end up in destructive relationships or totally unprepared for what parenting issues arise … yet these two are the basis for our life?!?

  2. I will have to agree with you on this kate…as i am a fan of organizing/planning everything…it sure does give some fun having to literally do anything without planning but nothing beats a life well planned and organized: it gives you a goodnight sleep..

  3. Excellent, Kate! Great wisdom!
I like to plan, make lists, organize, check things off the lists, look back afterward and see how I can plan better/do differently next time, etc.! ๐Ÿ™‚ And we must do all of this when we are doing something as simple as cleaning the house and on through to all the big important things in our lives. For example, I am always baffled when females plan such elaborate expensive wedding ceremonies down to the smallest details…but don’t really think about their plan for their marriage/relationship and future. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ The wedding becomes more important than the marriage. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Won’t be long now! Hope you enjoy your travels!

    • well said Carolyn, like that analogy of the wedding planned and the marriage forgotten .. I know couples who book a few marriage counselling sessions every year whether they need it or not, they claim it’s saved them many arguments ๐Ÿ™‚
