August 5, 2017 at 11:10 pm

August 6, 2017 at 8:44 am

We don’t seagulls here..i haven’t seen one..its such a gift that you get to photograph them Kate
August 6, 2017 at 8:46 am
such a gift that I get to see them, they are quite characters … do miss them when I’m away but there are usually plenty of eagles instead 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 12:39 am
Lovely photo though I hate gulls when I am at the jetty fishing as they would swoop down and steal the tourists’ fish and chips…and poop!
August 6, 2017 at 8:49 am
oh they don’t just eat from tourists, they take our food also .. no discrimination there whatsoever lol 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 9:05 am
Lol!! Good morning and happy Sunday to you😚😎🐾🐾💕💕
August 6, 2017 at 9:13 am
and to you ..
is your Mum unwell or just needing a break from your father … I am worrying as you only take him on your walks 😦
August 6, 2017 at 9:49 am
Thanks for your thoughtfulness!😚Mum is well. Saturdays are her busiest days as she always has guests. She is glad to have dad out of her so that she can have her own time with friends haha!☺
August 6, 2017 at 9:51 am
well that’s very kind for her and your dad .. still no hobbies or life for you, why are you avoiding???
August 6, 2017 at 9:56 am
Not avoiding but no time. Weekends are too short as I need to spend time with dad to ensure his mind does not turn to mush. Household chores, cooking, cleaning, ironing, grocery etc…my hobby is reading and writing on wordpress plus puzzles..things I can squeeze in when time permits.😊
August 6, 2017 at 9:59 am
you need to socialise more with people your own age [real live ones, not cyber pals] you are SO avoiding any real connection and it ain’t healthy …
August 6, 2017 at 10:11 am
In time…in time when I am free of encumbrances of work, filial duties and social work. I have meetings to attend too ha ha. Am very busy
August 6, 2017 at 10:14 am
yes yes keep busy fill it up until you stop breathing .. having viewed those hell realms you wont have time to socialise there either so you can keep avoiding … you may have suffered bad health but doesn’t sound like you’ve ever been confronted by near death .. then your priorities might change but caring for self is impossible for you 😦

Lovely picture and nice observation.
thanks Rupali 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 1:25 am
They look quite content there!
August 6, 2017 at 8:51 am
they might but the wind was icy and doubt they could have flown if they wanted to as it was so strong .. note their ruffled feathers 🙂

What a nice combo of picture and text to illustrate “casual.” Lovely.
August 6, 2017 at 8:54 am
thanks Oneta 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 7:21 am
Aw, great photo, Kate!
Ha! Maybe that is The Seagull Inn! 😉 😀
They look all snuggled in and resting comfortably! We should take lessons from the birds…work hard, fly high, and rest when you are tired. 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 9:00 am
nature has so many valuable lessons for us but we seldom stop to observe them 🙂

What a great shot! You certainly have an eye for a pic!!
August 6, 2017 at 10:20 am
thanks for your kindness Sarah, i used to enjoy photography in my twenties, won a couple of awards in UK but then travelled overland and did amazing things but my shutter was shut from a tiny grain of sahara sand … two shops couldn’t find it so didn’t take any photos for yonks an earlier post explains how my passion got reignited 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 10:24 am
Well glad it did! You have a talent 😃 will check out the post
August 6, 2017 at 10:33 am

Yeah……. Seagulls ……. what can I say, they are big beautiful white birds with orange beaks. I was always so taken by them ……… until……. a few weeks ago I went to Venice and saw them for who they really are…. They eat everything, I actually took a video of one eating a pigeon, I was in SHOCK. They are beautiful powerful monsters, don’t let your guard down hahahahah that pigeon did.
August 6, 2017 at 5:19 pm
agreed Issa, they are pretty vultures … how are you, where have you been I’ve missed you?
August 6, 2017 at 6:57 pm
Ahhhh here in the summer months I have many guests that come to visit… and next week we go on vacation with the camper to France. What is this i read you will be disappearing ?
August 6, 2017 at 7:11 pm
just emailed you .. if you read my posts .. 😦
August 6, 2017 at 9:20 pm
Don’t they look just so relaxed. Having walked your lovely beach with you I can so appreciate this capture. 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 10:07 pm
thanks Miriam, that was a super windy day but they do look so casual 😉
August 6, 2017 at 10:28 pm
They’re obviously used to it. 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 10:29 pm
lol yes but none were silly enough to try and fly 🙂 have you settled back in?
August 6, 2017 at 10:32 pm
Hunkered down they were. Bit like me. Yes, I’ve settled back in, slowly but surely (even though we came home to a broken central heating unit) 😟
August 6, 2017 at 10:43 pm
ouch after all that sunny warm weather and now in Melbourne with no heating .. get that camp fire lit out back 🙂
August 6, 2017 at 10:52 pm
It’s okay, fortunately we’ve also got a fire inside which is now well stoked up. 🙂
August 7, 2017 at 7:45 am
lol I bet it is 🙂
August 7, 2017 at 2:59 am
I love that photo! Makes me wish I was near the water myself!
August 7, 2017 at 7:54 am
Yes I live in a nice location .. just too many tourists but one must share such joy 🙂
August 7, 2017 at 10:29 am
I’m pleased that you don’t have a loathing for seagulls. I understand they can be a nuisance, but they’re responding to our messy way of life, and they’re following the laws of nature, which is more than we humans can say about ourselves…
August 7, 2017 at 10:42 am
cynical but true words Jane, thanks for visiting 🙂
August 7, 2017 at 11:17 am
Always a pleasure 🙂
I have a lot of time for seagull – and vultures, which are beneficial. They clean up our planet and don’t kill in order to survive… though I may get a bit worried if they started following me around… 😉
August 7, 2017 at 11:36 am
you’ve watched too many Hitchcock movies 🙂
