Off on a travel adventure soon
so excited feel over the moon
plane departs from city at noon
Packing the essentials a real boon
toothbrush, passport and my own spoon
then off to contemplate in a quiet room
daily prompt: Toothbrush
Let me challenge and entertain you then I will have made a difference. Enjoy …

Love the simplicity, humour, and the suggestion of discovery contained in those last lines. Good luck on your travels, Kate — internal and external! 🙂

August 2, 2017 at 12:46 am

August 2, 2017 at 6:55 am

I am excited for you! 👍👏👏It is good that you can go away and see the world. But for sure I will miss your voice and comments…😢
August 2, 2017 at 6:57 am
lol wont be seeing much of the world except for a couple of airports on the way there, I will be in the same little spot without spare time to explore but do have a few very dear friends I will meet there 🙂
August 2, 2017 at 2:13 am
Ditch the spoon Kate, you have over packed (and maybe even the toothbrush, but that would ruin the prompt). Enjoy the travels 🙂
August 2, 2017 at 7:00 am
lol sounds like we travel similarly … only took that spoon for the rhythm anyway … check out a movie called ‘the Dressmaker’ very Australian but all about small town ‘stuff’, will do a revue if I find time but I get the feeling you would really appreciate it Davy 🙂
August 2, 2017 at 4:26 pm
Thanks for the recommendation Kate. I will have a look at it 🙂
August 2, 2017 at 5:29 pm
I think you would get it but be prepared to laugh and cry heaps 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 1:23 am
Handkerchiefs on standby Kate 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 5:55 am
like to see a grown man well prepared, the side slitting laughter uplifts in between the tissues so it is an emotional roller coaster 🙂

HA and YAY! Have fun! 🙂
I bet you are happier than a loon
on a beautiful day in June!
Will you see a raccoon
or take a ride in a hot air balloon?
Will you encounter a prune
or a monsoon or a baboon?
Just watch out for a buffoon!
Ha, I’ll stop now…but your poem got me all -oon-y! 😀
I always take my own pillow, but never a spoon.
August 2, 2017 at 5:31 pm
glad the fun was so infectious .. lol am going over to monsoon and may see a few baboons so you got close … the spoon was purely for the rhythm 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 6:50 am
Ooh on the baboons! 😀
We have monsoons during the Summer, so we are in the midst of them. I enjoy the rain! 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 9:52 am
I always preferred monsoon to winter when I lived in the Himalayas 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 3:55 pm
Oh, I bet! 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 5:13 pm
feet of snow around a concrete room with power off for 9 days, was not comfortable 🙂

. Bon voyage.
August 3, 2017 at 5:52 am
still got a couple of weeks before I leave James but preparation is hectic 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 7:18 am
I like this! Of course, you know me, I’m also packing a fan, a pillow, and a nightlight!
August 3, 2017 at 9:56 am
lol your need to control is completely opposite to the way I operate Ann .. I didn’t know what to comment when everyone was so sympathetic and supportive … I was forced to go with the flow in my childhood, so guess I had great lessons then and now I see no reason to change now, good luck with yours 🙂
August 3, 2017 at 12:47 pm
Oh, never be afraid to voice your opinion, even if you are in the minority! We are all different, and that’s perfectly fine. I came from a chaotic childhood, so I take comfort in order and control. But that doesn’t mean it’s what is right for everyone, it’s just how I deal with things.
August 3, 2017 at 2:34 pm
I was pretty sure that it came about as a reaction to something … but I did feel deeply saddened that so many have that need coz you must miss out on so much that life has to offer 🙂
August 4, 2017 at 2:43 pm
Lovely thoughts Kate…🌺🌺
