True Grit

True grit reminds me of that John Wayne movie
but we each face our share of rustlers and gun slingers
safer to deal with them in a more balanced way

It takes true grit to face our demons
what ever they may be
addictions, mental health or harmful emotions,
abusive relationships, greed, no work or ill health

We all have various afflictions
and deal with them in different ways
but our inner resilience is what truly sustains us

No need to resort to guns, anger or harsh words
didnโ€™t work for the cowboys and has less respect now
so connect with your own resources and find a healthier way ..

  1. I’m too young to know who John Wayne was. ๐Ÿ™‚
So much truth in your message. In today’s world, when many become angered they no longer WORK to FIND resolution. They REACT rather than RESPOND often causing an escalation of the problem. We need to slow down and put a little more effort into understanding different positions. You don’t have to agree with them, but understanding them is the first step in discovering reasonable compromise. It’s not always about “right” and “wrong.” It’s often about conditions or situations that people must learn to live with if we are going to continue to be “free” creative thinkers.
