It’s a ginger flower, later it will open up into a more conventional type flower. I totally love the perfect symmetry and the orchid/butterfly type flowers out of these. Got to photograph them at exactly the right moment!

That’s very beautiful! Looks a bit similar to something from the coxcomb family.

Only slightly, they seem more random. This ginger is perfectly symmetrical and more cone shaped but I do see a slight similarity.
