Teen Porn and Pregnancy

Teen boys admit watching a lot of porn on-line and some even post their own schoolgirl porn on-line – what is this teaching them about respect for women? Schools spent a lot of money purchasing infant simulators and the girls enjoyed the attention from nursing these ‘infants’ so much that more fell pregnant …

These links clearly advocate reasonable factual sex education is needed and it seems that both families and institutions are failing in this area. Yet Australia did a TV series,  Luke Warm Sex which is available on DVD for $20, that did just that! Awkward but frank it is much-needed education – NO explicit material – yet this particular article reviewing that series cannot be circulated on-line due to it’s mature content?

CQ:  So what solutions would you suggest?

  1. This is an extremely important subject, I have no answers. We have a problem here in the UK with young girls having babies. Once is an accident, two/three/four or more are not yet you see this here, its not a case of sex education with some of these girls, its a case of well “I get benefits” – our Benefit system has been abused by those that don’t care. The NHS is collapsing for lack of funds. The answer to youngsters not caring for their bodies or each others?

  2. What about the realities that having your 1st child with planning, both parents involved and a strong support system in place. In other words if you are in a long term committed relationship of adults with stable living conditions & pre pregnancy health prep; both parents, the child and any subsequent children will have a much better life. I got the message at school that having a baby was a terrible thing (I was not the type for who teen pregnancy was an issue) but clearly many adult women wanted a baby so it wasn’t realistic. When I went to schools to show my baby to teens in child care classes I emphasized how my husband & I could share tasks and support each other and how important spending months getting your pre pregnancy health right was. With my girls I emphasize how difficult sharing a child with an ex partner you don’t like can be (from TV & friends) and the only time to have a child is when you really know and can trust the child’s other parent.
