How I love a green leafy munch
Sit on a branch all day and crunch
But how I long for that sweet euclypt tree
The tall shady one by the road.
Oh to eat there, my dream lunch!

Its fresh leaves so sweet and tasty
Cut down for road works so hasty
No new young tree can make me so pleased
Cause I climb up them all, my taste buds teased.

Yet none ever match the flavor it dispatched
So I cry as I latch onto each new patch
Desperate to revisit that past tasty catch
So let your tears fall
As you hear my koala call

And please bring back my tall tasty tree
Or my call will definitely haunt thee!
